It is rare today to discover something that is truly unique, something special. There are
not enough things of real beauty – of which one’s appreciation continues to grow with time.
Working with the highest quality FSC sourced hardwoods, everything is handmade using
traditional cabinet making skills, which results in superb quality that will more than stand
the test of time.
I am confident you will find commissioning a piece of furniture to be a deeply rewarding
experience – it is my objective for you to be as proud of the finished piece as I am.
My workshop is based in Downham near Clitheroe, in Lancashire. It is within easy reach of Manchester and Yorkshire.

Timbers used
I work in lots of different timbers and hardwoods. I avoid working with tropical hardwoods and just work with timbers which carry robust certification of the their ethical sourcing. Timbers used include European Oak, American Oak, Elm, Ash, Walnut, American Black Walnut, Sycamore, Maple, Birds-eye Maple, Yew and Beech.
I work in both solid timber and with veneered timbers. Veneering with high quality real wood veneers is an important skill as it allows you to make things which would not be possible with solid timber. Veneering also cuts down the amount of timber required in a project.
